Evaporator Plant
The Evaporator Plant is an industrial processing system designed to concentrate liquid products by removing water through controlled evaporation. It is widely used in dairy, food processing, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, and other process industries where concentration of liquids is required. The plant uses controlled heating and vapor separation to reduce the water content while retaining the desired dissolved solids and product characteristics.
Applications
The Evaporator Plant is commonly used for concentrating milk, whey, fruit juices, dairy products, liquid food ingredients, extracts, and other heat-sensitive or aqueous products. It is suitable for dairy plants, food processing factories, beverage industries, pharmaceutical facilities, and industrial processing units.
Key Benefits
The Evaporator Plant provides efficient liquid concentration, controlled processing, reduced product volume, and improved energy utilization. Multi-effect configurations can reuse vapor energy between stages, helping reduce steam consumption compared with single-effect operation. The system can be equipped with automated temperature, pressure, vacuum, flow, and level controls to maintain consistent operating conditions. Its hygienic stainless-steel product-contact construction makes it suitable for food and dairy applications, while customized configurations allow the plant to match different capacities and product requirements.
Construction & Operation
The plant generally consists of evaporator bodies, heating chambers, vapor separators, condensers, vacuum system, feed and circulation pumps, product piping, valves, control instruments, and a centralized control panel. The liquid product enters the evaporator and is heated under controlled conditions. Water is converted into vapor and separated from the concentrated product. Depending on the design, multiple evaporation effects can be used to improve thermal efficiency. The concentrated product is then discharged for further processing, storage, or packaging.
