Poultry Waste Biogas Plant
The Biogas Plant is designed to convert poultry manure and other suitable organic waste into biogas through anaerobic digestion. It provides a structured waste-management solution while producing biogas that can be utilized as a fuel source and leaving behind digestate that can be further processed or used as an organic fertilizer.
Feed Preparation System
The feed preparation section receives poultry manure and other suitable organic materials and prepares them for digestion. Water or other compatible feed materials can be incorporated according to the plant design and operating requirements.
Feed Inlet System
The prepared organic feed is introduced into the anaerobic digester through a dedicated inlet arrangement. Controlled feeding helps maintain stable operation of the digestion process.
Anaerobic Digester
The digester provides an enclosed environment where organic waste decomposes in the absence of oxygen. Microbial activity breaks down the organic material and produces biogas during the digestion process.
Biogas Collection System
The gas produced inside the digester is collected through a dedicated gas outlet and transferred toward the storage or utilization system. Suitable piping and gas-handling components are used to control the movement of the generated biogas.
Gas Storage System
A gas holder or storage arrangement can be incorporated to temporarily store generated biogas before it is supplied to the connected utilization equipment.
Gas Utilization System
The collected biogas can be supplied to suitable gas-burning equipment, boilers, heating systems or other compatible applications depending on the plant configuration and gas quality.
Digestate Discharge System
After digestion, the remaining slurry or digestate is discharged through a dedicated outlet. It can be transferred to storage, dewatering, composting or further organic-fertilizer processing.
Working Principle
Poultry manure and other suitable organic waste are introduced into the digester under controlled conditions. Inside the sealed chamber, microorganisms break down the organic matter without oxygen.
This anaerobic digestion process generates biogas, which is collected from the upper gas-collection area and transferred to storage or utilization equipment. The remaining digestate is removed from the plant and can be further processed or utilized as an organic soil amendment.

Construction Details
A Biogas Plant generally consists of a feed preparation section, inlet arrangement, anaerobic digester, gas-collection system, gas-storage arrangement and digestate discharge system. Depending on the plant configuration, pumps, mixers, gas purification equipment, safety devices and gas-utilization equipment can also be integrated.
The plant can be connected with poultry manure conveyors, manure separators and other waste-handling equipment to create a complete poultry-waste-to-energy system.
Maintenance Requirements
Inspect the feed inlet and discharge arrangements regularly.
Check the digester for leakage or structural deterioration.
Inspect biogas pipelines, valves and connections.
Monitor gas-storage components for proper operation.
Check pumps, mixers and mechanical equipment where installed.
Remove unwanted solids from relevant processing sections.
Inspect gas-treatment or filtration components where applicable.
Check pressure-control and monitoring equipment.
Maintain the plant according to the manufacturer's recommended service procedures.
Safety Features
The Biogas Plant should incorporate appropriate gas-pressure control, secure gas piping, suitable ventilation and protection against accidental ignition. Gas leaks should be identified and corrected promptly, and open flames or ignition sources should be kept away from gas-handling areas. Pressure-relief, gas monitoring and other safety equipment should be provided according to the plant design and applicable safety requirements.
