Nitrogen Generator
A Nitrogen Generator is an industrial system that produces nitrogen gas from compressed air, reducing the need for regular nitrogen cylinder deliveries. It commonly uses Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) or membrane technology to separate nitrogen from other gases in the air. TRADE SBE supplies nitrogen generation systems with customizable gas purity, flow rates and operating configurations.
Product Applications
Nitrogen generators are widely used in food packaging plants, pharmaceutical facilities, chemical industries, electronics manufacturing, laboratories and metal processing units. They provide nitrogen for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), product preservation, inerting, purging and other applications requiring a controlled nitrogen supply. The required purity and flow rate depend on the application and process specifications.
Key Benefits
Produces nitrogen on-site as required.
Reduces dependence on delivered nitrogen cylinders.
Available with PSA or membrane technology.
Adjustable nitrogen purity and output capacity, depending on the model.
Supports continuous industrial operations.
Customizable system configurations and automation options.
Working Operation
Compressed air passes through pretreatment filters and a drying system to remove moisture, oil and particles. In a PSA nitrogen generator, compressed air enters adsorption vessels containing carbon molecular sieve, which preferentially retains oxygen and allows nitrogen-rich gas to pass through. The system switches between vessels to maintain production and regenerate the adsorbent. The nitrogen is then collected in a storage tank and supplied to the application at the required pressure.
