The Cooling Pad System is designed to reduce heat inside poultry houses by using evaporative cooling to lower incoming air temperature. Water is distributed over specially designed cooling pads while ventilation draws air through the wet surface, creating a cooler and more comfortable environment for poultry. With efficient evaporative cooling, uniform water distribution, durable construction, controlled cooling performance, easy maintenance, and reliable operation, it is suitable for broiler farms, layer farms, breeder houses, controlled-environment poultry sheds, and large-scale poultry facilities.

Cooling Pad System
Poultry Cooling Pad System
The Cooling Pad System is designed to reduce the temperature of incoming air in poultry houses through evaporative cooling. It works together with exhaust fans to provide a controlled airflow path and help maintain a more suitable indoor environment during hot weather.
Cooling Pad Assembly
The cooling pad assembly provides a large evaporative surface through which incoming air passes. Water is distributed over the pad, allowing heat to be absorbed as air moves through the moist surface.
Water Distribution System
A water distribution arrangement supplies water across the upper portion of the cooling pads. Even water distribution helps maintain consistent wetting of the pad surface during operation.
Water Recirculation System
Water collected beneath the pads can be recirculated through the system using a pump. This helps maintain continuous pad wetting while reducing unnecessary water consumption.
Water Tank / Sump
A dedicated tank or sump can collect and store circulating water for the cooling system. It provides a continuous water source for the circulation pump and pad-wetting arrangement.
Air Inlet System
The cooling pads are installed at designated air-inlet openings of the poultry house. Outside air passes through the wet pads before entering the building, allowing evaporative cooling to take place.
Pump System
A water pump circulates water from the collection tank or sump to the distribution arrangement above the cooling pads. Continuous circulation helps keep the pad surface adequately wet during operation.
Working Principle
Water is circulated from the collection tank to the top of the cooling pads, where it flows downward and keeps the pad surface wet. At the same time, exhaust fans draw outside air through the moist pads and into the poultry house.
As the incoming air passes through the wet pad, a portion of the water evaporates and removes heat from the air. The cooled air then enters the poultry house, helping reduce the internal temperature.
Main Applications
Broiler poultry farms
Layer farms
Breeder farms
Environment-controlled poultry houses
Large-scale poultry sheds
Intensive poultry production facilities
Commercial poultry farms
Livestock ventilation systems
Key Features

Controlled fresh-air entry
Water-circulated cooling arrangement
Compatible with exhaust fans
Helps reduce poultry-house temperature
Continuous pad wetting
Suitable for hot-weather operation
Supports controlled-environment poultry houses
Reduced dependence on conventional air-conditioning
Suitable for large poultry-house ventilation systems
Construction Details
The Cooling Pad System consists of evaporative cooling pads, a water-distribution arrangement, circulation pump, water collection tank or sump and associated piping. The pads are installed across designated air-inlet openings so that incoming air passes through the wet surface.
The system can be integrated with exhaust fans, environmental controllers and water-management equipment to create a complete tunnel or cross-ventilation arrangement.
Maintenance Requirements
Clean cooling pads regularly to remove dust and accumulated deposits.
Check the water-distribution pipes and spray arrangements.
Inspect the circulation pump for proper operation.
Clean the water tank or sump periodically.
Check pipes and connections for leakage.
Monitor water flow across the complete pad surface.
Inspect pads for damage, scaling or deterioration.
Replace worn cooling pads when required.
Maintain water quality according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Safety Features
The system should have secure water and electrical connections with suitable protection around the circulation pump and other powered components. Proper drainage should be maintained to prevent water accumulation around the installation. Regular inspection of the pads, pump, piping and electrical components helps ensure safe and reliable operation.
